It’s not been a real good week for Lebron James, who took a hit from the The National Fraternal Order of Police, who came out on Twitter and said James needed to “educate himself.”
The saga comes after James himself tweeted out that he is “so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY”
James tweeted that after the shooting in Columbus that left 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant dead.
While some will always stand by James no matter what, some are going the other way, including a bar in the Cincinnati area.
The bar, Linnie’s Pub, located in Delhi Township near Cincy, has announced they will no longer show anymore games with James playing in it due to James’ online comments.
“If anyone wants to watch an NBA game, don’t come to Linnie’s Pub,” owner Jay Linneman said on Facebook of his bar.
“We will not air them until LeBron James has been expelled from the NBA.”
James original tweet was removed, and the Los Angeles Laker came out and explained his reasoning for taking down the tweet.
Former President Donald Trump came out Friday with a statement talking about James.
