You may remember her from the music videos from rock act band Whitesnake. Or maybe you know her from the Tom Hanks “Bachelor Party” movie.

But for fans of pop culture in the 1980s, Tawny Kitaen was all the rage, a model and actress who dated rock stars and led a life of intense highs and lows. And according to TMZ, that life has reached an end, as Kitaen has died at the age of 59.

The cause of death has not been determined.

Before being married to Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale, Kitaen dated Ratt guitarist Robbin Crosby while she was still in high school. Later, she was featured on two of the hair metal band’s album covers.

“She also had substance abuse issues and was arrested for drug possession and DUI … which was well-chronicled in the media,” TMZ wrote.

Her marriage to Coverdale lasted just two years. After that, she ended up married to baseball star Chuck Finley, but that relationship proved even more disastrous.

“Finley claimed she repeatedly kicked him in the face with her high heels and she was charged with domestic violence,” TMZ noted. “Those charges were later dismissed. He filed for divorce 3 days later.”

  1. Sad. It’s almost like the fast life of hard drugs and partying that Hollywood endlessly promotes isn’t a great idea. Hope the young kids are paying attention. Mac Miller overdosing a few years ago the list goes on and on

  2. I liked Kitaen as a teenager, especially seeing her topless in Witchboard, but she went sideways with her personality when she was married to Chuck Finley of the Angels. Still, sorry to see her go so young
