Audio Emerges Of Suspended Texas Tech Radio Team Destroying Big 12 Refs - Listen!

On Wednesday, the Big 12 suspended Texas Tech play-by-play announcer Brian Jensen and color analyst John Harris for "questioning the integrity" of officials who worked the Iowa State-Texas Tech game that resulted in a 41-38 Red Raiders win.

The conference announced that Jensen and Harris will miss Saturday's final home game against Oklahoma State for their conduct, which included relentlessly riding the officials during the 4th quarter. At one point, security converged on the student section where someone threw a water bottle onto the field.

Audio of Jensen and Harris going off on the officials surfaced Thursday night. Take a listen and you make the call here. Did they go too far?

"I understand the roles of the play-by-play and color analyst," Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby said in a statement announcing the suspensions. "However, as university representatives they also have an obligation to adhere to conference policy regarding comments about game officials.

"The comments by the Red Raider Radio Network booth announcers were contrary to expected levels of respect and professionalism. Questioning the integrity of conference officials and specifically calling out members of the officiating crew is well beyond appropriate and permissible behavior."
