Armando Salguero Set To Join OutKick as Senior NFL Writer

Veteran reporter Armando Salguero has joined the OutKick organization as its Senior NFL Writer.

Salguero has previously worked for the Miami Herald, covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL since 1990, and has also been featured on ESPN for many years. He was a 2016 APSE Top 3 columnist nationwide, is one of 48 Pro Football Hall of Fame voters, and is an Associated Press All-Pro and awards voter. Salguero has covered games in London, Berlin, Mexico City and Tokyo as well as 25 Super Bowls, the NBA Finals, and the Olympics.

OutKick founder Clay Travis said that the addition is the next step in the evolution of the website.

“Armando is well respected for his great work covering football, as well as for being one of the most fearless voices in sports media,” Travis said. “We look forward to unleashing him at OutKick and could not be more excited about him joining the team.”

Salguero announced the move on his personal Twitter page.

“After a combined 30 years at the Miami Herald, I'll be leaving next week for a new opportunity,” he posted. “I'm blessed to have served Herald readers for three decades, but exciting things are on the horizon. Stay tuned.”

In addition to Salguero, there will be many other new talent announcements from OutKick in the coming days and weeks. Salguero will begin on Aug. 23, offering written content and making appearances on various programs across the OutKick podcast network and in other VIP-only opportunities.

OutKick's business spans multiple platforms and outlets. The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show is the biggest radio show in the country, reaching 20 million listeners a month. The OutKick podcast network, which just launched last September, already notches more than four million monthly episode downloads. OutKick also draws millions of users to its website, video posts and social media channels every month.

OutKick also creates highly compelling sports wagering content, and currently has a successful, exclusive marketing arrangement with FanDuel.
