April Moss, a meteorologist for CBS 62 Detroit, was fired from her position after she announced she would be partnering with James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas to report discrimination at the news station.
The announcement came live on air during her weather segment on Monday.
Moss declared in the middle of her update: “I will be sitting down this week with Project Veritas to discuss the discrimination that CBS is enforcing upon its employees. Tune in to Project Veritas for my full story.”

In opposition to Moss’ comments and addressing her eventual dismissal from the station, CBS 62 stated that Moss’ issues with her workplace stemmed from COVID-19 guidelines about both mask wearing and vaccinations.

Reports released late Tuesday indicate that Moss was upset with the station after a suggested story pitch was turned down for being overly “political.”
Moss had planned to meet with The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens for an interview during International Women’s Month, but CBS prevented the appearance due to Owens’ anti-liberal audience.
Another incident with CBS 62 details that Moss did an interview with Dr. Joneigh Khaldun of the Department of Health and Human Services. The questions fed by Moss produced responses from Dr. Khaldun regarding post-vaccine hospitalizations and her producers did not approve.
Moss met with Project Veritas after her firing and released a sound clip capturing a conversation between the former reporter and Chuck Davis, Chief Engineer from CBS 62. Listeners can hear Davis berating Moss during the call for announcing her collaboration with Project Veritas.
“Why would you say that? You know, basically, that’s the most selfish thing I’ve ever seen, in all, in 36 years working there,” said Davis in a portion from the sound clip. “Without even a close second. Because you don’t give a crap about anybody else.”
Later in the clip, Davis expressed his intentions to personally recommend Moss’ dismissal from the network. Moss complied throughout the interaction but also insisted that she had presented documentation through the proper HR channels to make her concerns evident to CBS before contacting Project Veritas.
“No mention of company-wide efforts to push vaccinations on employees and the public. Instead, CBS aimed its focus at her personally in an effort to divert attention from the findings she presented to our organization,” O’Keefe said in a report from Newsweek.
Moss hopes that by sacrificing her identity and losing her role, she can help foster an open conversation about corporate political agendas imposed on staff members at work. The reporter’s defiant and honest opposition to CBS is an encouraging sign for those eager for normalcy but too afraid to speak up.
On Tuesday, June 21, a local Fox assignment reporter named Ivory Hecker was dismissed from her position after, like Moss, she admitted live on air that she would be meeting with Project Veritas.
