AP Top 25: No. 1 Georgia, Big Ten Dominates Top 10

Georgia was the new No. 1 in The AP Top 25 Poll for Week 7 released Sunday, taking the top spot during the regular season for the first time since November 1982.

Georgia beat a previously ranked No. 18 Auburn 34-10 in Auburn, and the Tigers dropped out of the rankings after losing for the second time this season.

Previously ranked No. 1 Alabama lost at Texas A&M and slipped four spots to No. 5 after its first loss of the season, and after falling out of the rankings last week for the first time this season, the Aggies are back in at No. 21.

No. 3 Cincinnati has its best ranking ever, while No. 4 Oklahoma moved up two spots after its win over Texas.

For the first time ever, the Big Ten has five top-10 teams. No. 2 Iowa is up one spot after winning a top-five matchup with now ranked No. 7 Penn State on Saturday.

The Big Ten also has No. 6 Ohio State, No. 8 Michigan, and No. 10 Michigan State, while No. 9 Oregon slipped one spot from last week to round out the Top 10.
