Andrew Luck Comeback? Colts Fan Claims To Have Texts That Could Blow This Wide Open

HERE WEEEEEE GOOOOOOOOO -- it's allegedly, possibly, maybe on in Indianapolis. Some random guy named Mike Austin has posted a text exchange that is all the rage in the city right now because it allegedly shows Andrew Luck's wife saying that her husband misses football and that he allegedly had a meeting with Jim Irsay.

"My wife has a mutual friend with Nicole's best friend which is the wife of Andrew. I think this answers a lot of our questions. This was Sunday or yesterday I'm not sure," Austin wrote on a tweet to Jeff Rickard, a local Indy radio guy.

Mike's either an absolute genius to fake these tweets to get the Indy sports scene fired up during Super Bowl Week, or he's breaking a massive national story that will have implications across the NFL.

"So Thursday do you want to run to Saks with me and Laney? Andrew is having a meeting with Jim around noon-ish," Luck's wife allegedly says to her friend.

Now, before you blow this off completely as a Twitter clout-chaser at work, Irsay went on record last week talking about Luck and a comeback. “It stands where it stands. Andrew’s retired. He knows we would love to have him back, but only he could ever answer that question,” Irsay said last Wednesday during his State of the Colts address.

“He knows we would love to have him back,’’ Irsay told reporters. “But only he can answer that question deep in his heart and his soul: ‘Hey, do I really want to come back and be a quarterback for the Colts again in the NFL?’ It’s easy for us. He knows how much we’d love to have him be our quarterback.

“I don’t really know if we’ll see that. I think he’s happy. He’s raising his daughter. He has a wonderful family. He’s a great Colt. He knows that he can come back anytime he wants, but at the same time we respect he’s made that decision.’’
