Andrew Cuomo Says He Won’t Bow To ‘Cancel Culture’ After Allegations

Six women have accused New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct, including a couple of former aides. But Cuomo isn’t going anywhere, he insists.

Cuomo’s latest defiance took place Friday, when Democratic members of New York’s congressional delegation called on him to resign amidst those allegations as well as the allegations that his administration had altered a report on nursing home deaths to cover up the COVID-19 death toll.

However, Cuomo told reporters he has no intention of bowing to “cancel culture.” What he may not realize, of course, is that cancel culture doesn’t apply to people who have actually done something wrong. Regardless, Cuomo stood his ground.

“I did not do what has been alleged, period,” he told reporters.

He later added that it was “reckless and dangerous” for people to call for his resignation without knowing the facts.

“The people of New York should not have confidence in a politician who takes a position without knowing any facts and substance,” he said, adding that “politicians take positions for all sorts of reasons, including political expediency.” He later blamed others for playing the political game, saying that “part of this is that I’m not part of the political club.”

“And you know what?” he asked. “I’m proud of it.”

The list of Dems calling for Cuomo’s resignation includes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jerrold Nadler. President Joe Biden has yet to do so though, as the New York Times reported.

“President Biden and Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York have not called on Mr. Cuomo to step down, instead reiterating their support of an independent investigation into the sexual harassment claims overseen by the state attorney general, Letitia James,” the Times wrote. “That investigation, conducted by two outside lawyers deputized by Ms. James, began this week.”

  1. Not to sound insensitive but I think it’s a good idea for him to not resign over the allegations. That is if he claims he didn’t cross the line, like for example, feeling up without compliance on someone unsuspecting. But the nursing home deaths would raise to that level, and certainly the coverup.

  2. I agree with Cumo for fighting back against cancel culture. How about instead of cancelling they arrest his ass for killing the most vulnerable in nursing homes? These sexual harassment accusations are just a distraction from this scumbags more heinous crimes.

    • Exactly right on, very well said! So Democrats and their partners in the media are totally fine with Cuomo intentionally killing people in nursing homes but some of them are now calling for him to resign because of the allegations.

I would much rather see him get impeached and be removed from office, that would be far more humiliating. And then have the FBI doing an early morning raid of his residence and offices, confiscate documents and arrest him and folks in his administration that intentionally and fraudulently covered up the nursing home deaths.

  3. You mean a year of CNN Cuomo propaganda has gone to waste?

But CNN spent a year telling me he was the anti-Trump.
He told the truth and saved lives unlike the evil Ron DeSantis.
    Right CNN?

Why is the media giving CNN a pass? I understand why the New York Times has to look the other way. They don’t want to be judged on the coverage they gave him. But, why is the New York Post and National Review giving CNN a pass?

  4. Cuomo should be arrested and tried on killing senior citizens. There is no excuse for him saying he didn’t know about the danger of sending COVID infected seniors back to their nursing homes. Heavy D in Florida knew this right away and saved tens of thousands of lives by not sending seniors back to their nursing homes. Is Cuomo admitting he simply was/is too stupid to know this? The right needs to fight back the same way the communists do every single time. Call for his arrest right now. Cancel him forever.

  5. It`s disturbing that he`s not being forced out because of all the seniors he killed, but because of the sexual harassment allegations (not that either are ok). If those women hadn`t step forward we wouldn`t be hearing any of this. Also: “I did not do what has been alleged, period”. Funny how he didn`t have any problem trying to pile on Kavanaugh 3 years ago when there was ZERO evidence that Kavanaugh committed a crime. That woman was a flat out liar, yet the left, especially that fraud Cuomo, was trying to bury him for political gain. I hope Cuomo burns at the stake.
