White House Says Biden's Dogs 'Beloved,' Mum On Reports Of Biting
President Joe Biden's administration would neither confirm nor deny reports that involve a dog, a biting incident and a White House security member.
All Biden's top spokesperson would reveal is that Biden's German shepherds remain "beloved members" of the White House family after being asked if the pooches had been relocated to Delaware after one became a little overly aggressive.
“I don’t have any specifics. I don’t have any updates for you on the reports about an incident,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski.
Then Psaki basically started to drool about the dogs.
“But what I can tell you, as a dog lover is that Major and Champ are part of the Bidens’ family. They’re members of the family,” she said. “They often go to Delaware when the first lady (Jill Biden) is traveling. And they’re adjusting to their new home. ... I just know that they’re beloved members of the family and, of course, of the White House family, too.”
According to the reports, it was Major who had the temper tantrum. Major, 3, was reportedly adopted from a Delaware animal shelter in November 2018.
"The exact condition of the victim is unknown, however, the episode was serious enough that the dogs were subsequently moved to Wilmington, Delaware, where they remain," CNN reported.
Citing sources, the network added that Major was seen barking, jumping and charging at White House staff and security prior to biting the guard.
On the bright side, it appears Champ is considerably more calm at the ripe old dog age of "roughly 13." Reports suggested that the dogs prefer to stay together and that Biden adopted Major for the sole purpose of keeping Champ busy as Champ approaches his golden years.
Jill Biden once said that the only place the dogs aren't allowed is on the furniture. But she admitted to catching Major there a few times.
Whether Major was also caught with his teeth on a security guard's arm or leg, well, no one is saying.
