Rep. Elise Stefanik Wants Us To Save Christmas By Firing Fauci
Dr. Fauci better hope Elise Stefanik doesn't pull his name in this year's secret Santa. If she does, Fauci's likely to wake up to a lump of coal and a couple of birds that aren't exactly turtle doves. In response to Fauci's Scrooge-like wishes to avoid gathering around the holidays, Stefanik, a U.S. Representative from New York, called for Dr. Fauci to be fired, in order to "save Christmas."
"Fire Fauci. Fire Pelosi. Fire JOE BIDEN. Save Christmas. Save America," tweeted Stefanik.
Just last week Dr. Fauci told CNN "it's just too soon to tell" if people can get together for Christmas. "We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we’re going to do at a particular time. Let’s focus like a laser on continuing to get those cases down," added Fauci. And we can do it by people getting vaccinated–also, in the situation where boosters are appropriate to get people boosted because we know they can help greatly in diminishing infection and diminishing advanced disease."
Stefanik's intent to uphold Christmas and cancel Fauci was unsurprisingly met with all the joy of a White Christmas.
"No one is going to cancel my family's Christmas," tweeted one Stefanik supporter.
"Met gala okay, emmys okay, gathering with your family not okay," added another social media user.
We're still two plus months from Christmas but the people have already spoken, the top item on everyone's 2021 wish list is a Fired Fauci.
