Peter King Uses Strong Language In His Fight Against Competitive Eating

Peter King has found another hill to die on and this time it's competitive eating, specifically the Nathan's Hot Dog 4th of July pig out and he's calling competitive eating "a sin." That's right, Peter King, who famously loves Skyline Chili when he's in Cincinnati, spent time on a glorious July 5 going after ESPN for airing hot dog eating contests.

"The fact is, ESPN celebrates the birthday of our country by airing a gluttonous, vomitous and grotesque event," Peter wrote with conviction.

This isn't Peter's first rodeo with the contest -- see below, he was fired up in 2010. He really hates this event, but a Twitter search reveals this is the first time he's gone as far as saying it's a "sin."

It's interesting to see what sends people like Peter over the top. You'd think something like convicted rapist Darren Sharper being on a Pro Football Hall of Fame ballot would trigger the guy, but no, Peter said in 2015 that Sharper should only be judged on his football merits and should be on ballots.

Peter's exact words via a tweet on February 3, 2015: "If I said, “I will not consider Sharper for induction because he has been accused of multiple rapes,” I would resign from the committee."

But hot dog eating contests? Peter's fully triggered. Full-on documented rage for a decade.

Let's take it all the way back to a decade ago when Peter officially started this crusade on Twitter:

Peter is a four-way guy: spaghetti, Skyline chili, finely shredded mild cheddar cheese, chopped onions, and oyster crackers

Benny really should have taken half home. That would've been the right thing to do:
