NBA Playoffs and Football Season Will Heavily Overlap

As we all eagerly await the return of live sports, the NBA plan is continuing to materialize. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has the latest details:

This proposal goes pretty deep into football season, which is interesting in the sense that we have kept hearing about how the NBA will ultimately move its future seasons back in the calendar year to start on Christmas -- precisely for the reason of avoiding football season. The NFL plays on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. College football has its marquee matchups on Saturdays and a few games on other nights of the week. The way the NBA playoffs are shaking out, they will be going head-to-head with football on a number of occasions. It will be interesting to see how that shakes out from a viewership perspective.
