Minority Players Issue Proposals To NHL, Suggest Changing Blue Line To Black Line (Temporarily)
The Hockey Diversity Alliance, led by a group of nine former and current NHL hockey players, has issued its requests of the NHL and is proposing a wide variety of initiatives including players wearing black out warm up jerseys that would be auctioned off to raise money for the HDA and the organization is also proposing the NHL temporarily change the blue line to a black line, according to hockey reporter Rick Westhead.
The group is comprised of: Akim Aliu, Evander Kane, Trevor Daley, Anthony Duclair, Matt Dumba, Nazem Kadri, Wayne Simmonds, Chris Stewart and Joel Ward.
