Mike Tyson Adds To His All-Time Quote List With Latest Comparison to God
Mike Tyson is back to fighting and spitting out classic quotes that can be added to a long list of classics that only Mike could come up with. The former champ has been doing promotional work for his September 12 fight against Roy Jones Jr. and Tyson says we're going to find out who's the "greatest fighter in the history of great fighters."
That's a pretty bold statement considering Muhammed Ali is in a grave, but it's not the best line to come out of Mike's promotional quotes. The best, so far, has to do with the "conception" of God and Mike's place in history. It's a bold statement in a world of bold statements from a quote machine.
"If I fail, I'm gonna die. How many people do that? That's what I like to do. I go all out or nothing. I play for keeps. You know, I'm the greatest fighter since the conception of God. How could I not take this opportunity up?"
Other great Mike Tyson quotes compiled by B/R:
“I just have this thing inside me that wants to eat and conquer. Maybe it's egotistical, but I have it in me. I don't want to be a tycoon. I just want to conquer people and their souls."
"It's interesting that you put me in the league with those illustrious fighters , but I've proved since my career I've surpassed them as far my popularity. I'm the biggest fighter in the history of the sport. If you don't believe it, check the cash register."
Reporter: “They determined that you were suffering from depression, low self-esteem, and that you had problems with anger management. How have you tried to address those problems?”
Tyson: “That’s all they said was wrong with me?”
