Marlins Flame Thrower Sixto Sanchez Is A Superstar, Pedro Martinez Agrees

Marlins ace Sixto Sanchez is cementing himself as one of the game's incoming superstars, and it's scary to watch. Absolutely devastating stuff with a fastball that routinely reaches 100-miles-an-hour and a sick breaking ball.

These guys never had a chance:

It helps that he has this type of versatility and that he idolizes Pedro Martinez. A ton of guys throw hard in modern day baseball, but few are as polished at 22-years-old. Martinez himself had a few words to say about the kid:

"Physically, he's more imposing than I ever was, so I'm just hoping that he stays healthy," he said on MLB Network.

Sanchez has already undergone Tommy John surgery in 2018 and has had health issues throughout his career. He's currently in the 6th inning of a dominant game 2 performance against the Chicago Cubs, so fans should give this kid a look!

Sixto Sanchez threw 39 innings during the 2020 regular season with 33 strikeouts and a 3.46 ERA. Sanchez may very well be the game's next Max Scherzer or Jacob DeGrom. We don't want to count our chickens before they hatch, but he has all the tools to dominate the NL East for the next decade.

Buckle up!
