Kyrie Irving Exits Nets Group Chat After Leak About Wanting to Start New League

The latest installment of As The Kyrie Turns has been very entertaining in the absence of live sports.

On Tuesday night, Twitter had a lot of fun with the idea, first reported by Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News, that Kyrie Irving suggested that players should start their own league:

According to Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report, this leak (which, after several hours of its spread, Bondy clarified was not in direct response to the Orlando bubble) prompted Kyrie to exit the Nets' group chat:

With regards to Kyrie's idea ... I don't think the players could up and leave in the middle of a collective bargaining agreement, and I do think players would ultimately wind up finding the administrative aspects of launching and sustaining a league to be very challenging. However, it would be incredibly compelling to watch it all play out and see what happens if they ever tried.
