He's got the leg: Alabama commit hits 73-yard FG (Video)

When the Alabama Crimson Tide gained a commitment from kicker Eddy Pineiro earlier this month, they knew he had a strong leg but his most recent accomplishment is just ridiculous:

You read that correctly, Pineiro hit a 73-yard field goal on the practice field.

In case you were wondering, the longest field goal ever converted at the FBS level was a 65-yarder by Martin Gramatica for Kansas State in 1998.

Prior to the NCAA going the FBS route, three kickers hit from 67 yards in games. They were Arkansas' Steve Little and Texas' Russell Erxleben in 1977, and Wichita State's Joe Williams in 1978.

If Pineiro lives up to the hype, Alabama could have the best punter/kicker combo in the nation in 2016 when Pineiro joins punter JK Scott in Tuscaloosa.
