Despite Media Fear Porn, Data Shows ‘Delta Variant’ Is More Bark Than Bite
Mask ordinances are back in places like San Franciso where there were five COVID deaths in July. Seattle bars want to see vaccination records before they'll allow customers into establishments. Chicago's lunatic mayor ordered people riding public transit to wear masks. It's pure Delta Variant Hysteria® out there on the media streets where COVID fear porn is all that's left to drive ratings now that we're six months removed from Donald Trump's presidency and ratings have tanked.
And now it's time to drive the Delta variant storyline right into your head day after day. Drumbeat after drumbeat. However, if you listen to Stanford and Harvard medical professors, they're saying the severity of COVID is on the decline.
“It is striking that COVID mortality is at such low levels despite the fact that we are seeing an increase in cases of late,” Stanford Professor of Medicine Dr. Jay Bhattacharya told the Foundation For Economic Education. “By immunizing the elderly and many other vulnerable people, we have provided them with excellent protection against severe disease in case they get infected. Also contributing is widespread natural immunity from recovered COVID patients. Though cases may rise, deaths will no longer follow in proportion. We have effectively defanged the disease with our successful vaccination rollout.”
“We should be declaring a great and resounding success,” Bhattacharya added. “The COVID emergency is over. We still need to take COVID seriously, and there are still vulnerable people here and abroad left to vaccinate. But we can start to treat it as one disease among many that afflict people rather than an all-consuming threat.”
On Monday, the White House announced that 70% of adults had received one dose of a COVID vaccine, which you'd think would make the maskholes happy. Nope. Cities all across the U.S. announced Monday that they were looking at reinstituting mask mandates, even though one of President Biden's COVID advisors flat out said on CNN that the cloth masks being worn are worthless against the virus.
But what about the kids! As schools prepare to start up again -- yes, some in the south have already gone back -- now comes the Delta variant is going to kill our kids fear porn. Meanwhile, the New York Times admitted in a report last week that COVID transmission during summer school has remained low, transmission in city schools before vaccines was low and yet the paper went out and made sure to find a mom who's freaking out because she keeps being bombarded with Delta variant fear porn.
"But while rates in city schools have remained low during the summer, the spread of the more contagious Delta variant has left many parents worried about what will happen when all of the nearly 1 million students in the public system return to class in the fall," the Times wrote.
"Ms. Healy said she was so concerned that she began organizing with other parents to call on the city to offer a remote schooling option this fall."
