Davidson College Makes Student-Athletes Watch Video Claiming All White People Are Racist

Institutional racism is apparently rife at Davidson College. The small, liberal arts school in North Carolina may be most famous for being the alma mater of NBA superstar Steph Curry

But after Friday's news, it's possible the school becomes famous for a much less positive reason.

The College Fix broke a very concerning story about the school's athletic department, in which all the student-athletes at Davidson were forced to watch a racist video. The video claims, among other things, that all white people are racist and that minorities cannot be racist.

Sheryl Swoopes must be thrilled.

Davidson Embarrasses Itself With Absurd, Racist Video

The school forced students to watch "I’m Not Racist… Am I?" on a Sunday, outside of school hours, so they could hear lines like: "We would also say that it’s only white people that could be racist, that are racist, and that people of color cannot be."

Makes sense.

The video goes on to redefine racism in the most absurd terms possible.

"Let me tell you what he’s not saying on the second part," another participant says. "He’s not saying that people of color can’t be bigots, can’t express racial prejudice, can’t try to engage in acts of discrimination against white people, can’t do real, real stupid things filled with hate. We’re saying that collectively, blacks, Latinos, and other groups do not have the power to collectively oppress white people through the use of our systems."

So minority groups can commit racism, but it's not racism, because the racist creators of the video don't want it to be.

Davidson Alumni Fighting Against Woke Insanity

According to The College Fix, one group of alumni were extremely concerned after hearing that the school forced student-athletes to watch the video.

"The students with whom we have spoken about this film found it offensive, divisive, and personally insulting," said the Davidsonians for Freedom of Thought and Discourse.

No kidding.

Unsurprisingly, the school took no accountability for their disgraceful conduct, defending the video as simply "exploring different ideas."

"Students encounter many ideas, perspectives, and beliefs about the world at college, and even though a reading or event is assigned, that does not mean that anyone at the college expects students to agree with every idea they encounter," the school told The College Fix in a statement. "Learning – and teamwork – is about exploring different ideas, countering with better ones, and expanding knowledge."

Just imagine if the athletic department had shown student athletes a video with the opposite stance; that white people can't be racist and only other groups can. Somehow, it seems doubtful that they'd hand wave the video off then.

Woke Ideology Depends On Division

Progressive institutions and universities depend on dividing people by race or ethnicity, because their delusional worldview requires it.

It's inexcusable for Davidson to require racism to be taught in this manner, then excuse it as "different ideas." Free speech requires those ideas and views to be allowed, but not necessarily encouraged. In the same way that those views would be condemned and removed if targeted to another racial group.

Woke ideology is dangerous, harmful and very often, racist. And we just got another example of it, thanks to Davidson.
