College Football Week 9 Opening Odds

Coming off a bye week, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are pegged as 10.5-point road favorites on the opening college football betting lines for this week against another ranked team, the Temple Owls, at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Fighting Irish are at No. 9 while the Owls are at No. 21 in the AP Top 25 this week, with Notre Dame 6-1 both straight up and against the spread on the season while Temple is 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS. Notre Dame is 19-1 ATS in its last 20 games on the road in the month of October heading into Saturday's matchup, and they're coming off a big 41-31 win over USC as a 6-point favorite in their last game on October 17.

No. 3 Clemson opened as a 9.5-point road favorite against N.C. State for Week 9, while No. 5 TCU opened as a 14.5-point home favorite against West Virginia in a Thursday night contest. The Horned Frogs are a lucrative 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games overall according to the OddsShark College Football Database, but they're just 3-4 ATS so far this season to go along with their 7-0 SU mark.

Elsewhere, Florida opened as a 2.5-point favorite for its game against Georgia on Saturday at EverBank Field in Jacksonville. USC opened as a 4-point road favorite against California, Stanford opened as a 12.5-point road favorite against Washington, and Michigan opened as a 10-point road favorite against Minnesota.
