College Football Week 9 Opening Odds

Coming off a bye week, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are pegged as 10.5-point road favorites on the opening college football betting lines for this week against another ranked team, the Temple Owls, at sportsbooks monitored by The Fighting Irish are at No. 9 while the Owls are at No. 21 in the AP Top 25 this week, with Notre Dame 6-1 both straight up and against the spread on the season while Temple is 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS. Notre Dame is 19-1 ATS in its last 20 games on the road in the month of October heading into Saturday's matchup, and they're coming off a big 41-31 win over USC as a 6-point favorite in their last game on October 17.

No. 3 Clemson opened as a 9.5-point road favorite against N.C. State for Week 9, while No. 5 TCU opened as a 14.5-point home favorite against West Virginia in a Thursday night contest. The Horned Frogs are a lucrative 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games overall according to the OddsShark College Football Database, but they're just 3-4 ATS so far this season to go along with their 7-0 SU mark.

Elsewhere, Florida opened as a 2.5-point favorite for its game against Georgia on Saturday at EverBank Field in Jacksonville. USC opened as a 4-point road favorite against California, Stanford opened as a 12.5-point road favorite against Washington, and Michigan opened as a 10-point road favorite against Minnesota.
