Clay Travis: U.S. District Court Just Dunked on Women's Soccer Team
Clay Travis here. Beach Day 2 as we roll on with America going back to work.
Speaking of back to work, I thought it would make sense to talk about the U.S. women’s soccer team.
They filed a lawsuit that they wanted equal pay. The only problem is they already collectively-bargained for the pay they were getting and in many ways it was more than the men were getting.
In fact, as it was just pointed out by the District Court judge who dismissed their claim by a summary judgment, they have no claim to equal pay because they actually turned down the opportunity to make equal pay as the men.
For the past several years on social media, you have been hearing that the women haven’t been treated fairly. They actually are being treated more fairly. And a U.S. District Court judge just dunked on them driving all the blue checkmarks wild with disdain and dismay all over Twitter.
You know who loved it? This guy.
Get back to your life. Get back to the beach. It is time for America to go back to work. Including the U.S. women’s soccer team.
Love you guys. Hope you are having a fantastic weekend.
