2019 NCAA Football Title Odds: New Champs Atop List

The Clemson Tigers steamrolled the Crimson Tide on Monday night and were crowned national champions in a mismatch that was not nearly as competitive as the best online sportsbooks, all found at Sportsbook Review, indicated it would be as they tagged the Tide as five-point favorites. In fact, it was the No. 2 team in the nation that not only covered the number but cashed for all those Tigers backers who bet Clemson on the money line at odds of +190.

It’s not a complete shocker that eight of the SEC’s 14 teams are included in this group because the Southeastern Conference rules and the rest of the nation drools. While it is true the recently-crowned national champs hail from the ACC, the rest of that conference pales in comparison to the razor-wire defenses of Mississippi State -- tops in the nation allowing just 12 PPG, No. 4 Alabama, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 16 Auburn, No. 18 Auburn, No. 21 Florida, and No. 22 LSU.

Clemson is the odds-on-favorite to capture the national title next season with Alabama a close second. However, if we surf on over to Sportsbook Review, we can see that some of the other best online sportsbooks have installed the Crimson Tide as the favorites to reclaim the crown.

Tua Tagovailoa will be back under center for the Tide, while Clemson’s freshmen phenom Trevor Lawrence will seek to add another stellar chapter to his already best-selling book.
