According to Alaska Landmine, FOX/ABC reporter Maria Athens has threatened to kill Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and his wife. In a voicemail, Athens is heard warning him:
“I will personally kill you and Mara Kimmel my goddamn self, you Jewish piece of living fucking shit. You have met your match, motherfucker!”
Athens also made an unsubstantiated claim that Berkowitz posted inappropriate photos to a website featuring underage girls.
“You’re also a pedophile and like little girls and children,” she screamed.
Here is the full unhinged voicemail:
“You piece of shit loser.”
That doesn’t sound like honest journalism.
It gets worse. On Facebook, Athens posted a photo of a nude man she claims is the mayor.
Berkowitz has issued a statement denying Athens’ accusations. They appear to “be the product of someone who is hostile and unwell,” it reads.
I tend to agree.
Berkowitz has, however, admitted to a “consensual, inappropriate messaging relationship” with the reporter.
What a wild story in the great city of Anchorage.
So, what’s that reporter’s phone number? (Oh yeah….)

It amazes me how quickly some supposedly grown-up, intelligent people run to anti-Semitism, as though it were appurtenant to anything. So it didn’t bother her when she was screwing him, but now it’s an issue? Geez, what an awful person.
Agreed, It bothers me that I notice a person of Jewish descent as any different than an Anglo Christian descendent. I wish we could end that once and for all.
