A-Rod Stunned Over Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck Developments

Apparently Alex Rodriguez is "shocked" that JLo is moving on to give old flame Ben Affleck another chance. Did he miss the memo where Jennifer Lopez has been divorced three times and engaged on five separate occasions? We would think there would be some awareness there, but that isn't necessarily in A-Rod's wheelhouse.

"A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on. He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him," an Insider said to TMZ.

The report goes on to say that Lopez "isn't interested in rekindling anything with A-Rod and is done." Well, we coulda seen this coming. You can't slide into the DMs of Madison McCroy, shock your fiancée, and then act like the sky just fell when she tells you to kick rock and leaves. Relationships have just never worked that way, but again, this is A-Rod we're talking about.

I actually understand what Rodriguez is trying to say here, though. He thought he had more time because that's what most men and women do. They break up from a serious relationship, and then they have a period of reflection and overall "down time" from dating. Most of that grace period is to heal wounds so you don't bleed on your new partner. Rodriguez forgot Jennifer Lopez is levitating above the rest of us, so she's never been the problem (at least that's what she thinks). Basically the moment she decided she was done, Ben was reaching out. That's why the reports say Affleck was texting her back in February. I should add: This time, it was A-Rod's fault.

The 45-year-old former Yankee star thinks he's Brad Pitt, and JLo just served him a warm slice of humble pie. Sorry, Alex. Cold world.
