76ers Suspend Ben Simmons After He’s Thrown Out Of Practice

Ben Simmons was kicked out of Tuesday’s 76ers practice for not being engaged and will be suspended for Wednesday night’s season opener on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Before getting thrown out of the practice, Simmons declined to sub into a drill several times, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Simmons first came back to the team on Oct. 11, when he showed up to the practice facility for a COVID-19 test and entered the league’s health and safety protocols, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

The Inquirer reports Simmons has since participated in two practices and was seen on the court during drills when media entered the gym on Monday.
