According to reports from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, 5-10 NBA teams are now expecting to have “some type of fan presence in 2020-21.” If you’re a fan of the NBA and were looking to move to a more conservative city, now’s the time.
As of now, the NBA is expecting 5-to-10 teams to host an amount of fans in their arenas to start the 2020-21 season, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

There’s no word on which teams are considering hosting fans, but we can often look at the NFL for guidance. Politically conservative cities tend to be more open to fan attendance than liberal cities. That’s just common sense.
Just last week, the Lakers in liberal LA announced they wouldn’t allow fans at all until further evaluation. It’s too bad James Harden and Russell Westbrook asked for trades out of Houston, Texas when that’s likely one of the 5-10 cities with the courage to invite fans back in.
It will be interesting to see a comparison of these 5-10 teams’ fan attendance compared to the last couple of years.
Not a fan and not watching
They won’t do it because a. they are cowards and b. when no one shows up for the games anyway because no one cares about the NBA anymore, they can just use covid as cover.
