ESPN Reporter Has Awkward Moment With Mom At NFL Draft

ESPN reporter Laura Rutledge was in the fight of her life in the green room during Thursday's NFL Draft.

There's no real other way to put it – it was a bloodbath out there. Absolute war zone. She had bullets flying from every which direction and she was doing her best to keep the ship afloat.

The main issue was the moms. The matriarchs of the NFL Draft.

They didn't seem to vibe at all with Laura, and they also didn't seem to understand basic interview questions, which is never a great combo when you're on live TV.

Let's check the tape!

ESPN's Laura Rutledge needs a day off after the NFL Draft

I mean, goodness gracious. Props to Laura, because I would've taken my ball and gone home the second I got the "from Baton Rouge" response.

Nope. No thanks. This ain't for me. I'll be bagging groceries at the Publix if y'all need me from now on. Bless her heart. She's got way more patience than I do.

And how about the tone from Tonya Turner? Unreal attitude right there. Hey, Tonya, why don't you bring it down a few notches on live TV, huh? Your son just became a multi-millionaire. Your family just got set for life. You're about to be driving a sexy little Mercedes and living in a mansion – for free.

Why don't you just let "Toni" slide and assume Laura has better things to do on draft night then learn your name?

Ruthless comment and an equally chilling look at the end. Head on a swivel, Laura.

PS: whoa.

He's a reigning fantasy football league champion, knows everything there is to know about NASCAR, and once passed out (briefly!) during a lap around Daytona. He swears they were going 200 mph even though they clearly were not.
