Young Eagles Superfan Welcomes Joe Flacco To Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Eagles have had an active offseason at the quarterback spot, trading away Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts and coming to terms with veteran QB Joe Flacco on Tuesday.

Flacco, who won a Super Bowl with the Ravens, is receiving a one-year deal with $3.5 million guaranteed and the opportunity to earn $4 million more in incentives.

One Eagles fan who is excited about the Eagles bringing Flacco in is 13-year-old Giovanni Hamilton, otherwise known as "Giovanni the Philly Sports Podcaster."

Giovanni, who has a rare genetic disorder, made headlines a few years back when he got to meet his hero Wentz at an Eagles training camp practice.

Since then, he's popped up here and there on Twitter, and recently he was back at it after the Eagles traded Wentz to the Colts, going on Twitter to send a heartfelt 'good-bye' message to Wentz.

Now the Eagles have a new QB in Flacco, and Gio went on Twitter on Tuesday to welcome the new backup to Jalen Hurts.

Flacco tweeted back at the super Eagles fan, thanking him for his support.

We will see if Flacco gets a chance to meet Gio at camp this year, and if he can be the backup the Eagles need in 2021 for second-year QB Hurts.
