WR Thomas, RB Kamara Active For Saints In Wild Card Battle Against Bears

The New Orleans Saints will have a couple of their biggest names on offense available to them as they prepare for the Chicago Bears in Sunday’s second game of three on Super Wild Card Sunday.

Wide receiver Michael Thomas and running back Alvin Kamara are both active for the wild card matchup, giving quarterback Drew Brees more options.

Thomas has missed a good portion of the season with an ankle injury, while Kamara didn’t play in the team’s final game with COVID-19.

The 25-year-old running back has rushed for 16 touchdowns this season to go along with 932 yards. He’s also pulled in 83 catches for 756 yards and five scores.

Thomas has played in seven games, making 40 catches for 438 yards and no scores.

The inactives for New Orleans include cornerback Ken Crawley, offensive lineman Derrick Kelly, receiver Austin Carr, defensive end Trey Hendrickson (neck), defensive lineman Malcolm Roach, running back Ty Montgomery and receiver Juwan Johnson.

Chicago’s inactives are inside linebacker Roquan Smith (elbow), receiver Darnell Mooney (ankle), cornerback Jaylon Johnson (shoulder), cornerback Buster Skrine (concussion), offensive lineman Lachavious Simmons, nose tackle Daniel McCullers and outside linebacker Trevis Gipson.
