WR Antonio Brown In More Hot Water, Sued By Truck Driver Over Incident In 2020 Assault Case

If he could stay out of trouble, he could be the best wide out in the game today.

Instead the antics of Antonio Brown never seem to change.

Brown, who won Super Bowl LV with the Bucs in February, is at it again, as he now is facing a civil lawsuit over allegations of assault and battery stemming from an altercation with a moving truck driver named Anton Tumanov in January 2020, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The suit against Brown is an extension of a previously settled criminal case involving the seven-time Pro Bowler.

Baker reports that Brown assaulted Tumanov while he was delivering household items.

The Associated Press states that the former Pittsburgh Steeler and New England Patriots pass catcher pleaded no-contest to charges of burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief in June 2020.

He was given two years of probation and 100 hours of community service and was required to undergo psychological evaluation and take an anger management course.

It doesn't sound like Brown is doing what he needs to in order to stay out of trouble and make amends with others. According to the story, Tumanov is seeking more than $30,000 in damages.

Brown was a free agent when the alleged assault took place.

He had to sit the first eight games of the 2020 campaign as he was suspended for the first eight games after Britney Griner said he sexually assaulted her three times between 2017 and 2018, including one instance of rape, after Brown hired her as a personal trainer.

A lawsuit in relation to the allegations was settled in April.
