Wizards GM: No Plans At All To Trade John Wall

John Wall may have to find a novel way to get traded if he actually wants to be. The Washington Wizards have no plans to do it for him.

Instead, Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard said they plan to keep the veteran point guard in the backcourt with star shooting guard Bradley Beal.

"I can't wait to see those two together," Sheppard told reporters Monday.

Wall has recently been mentioned as the main piece in trade rumors regarding Houston Rockets guard Russell Westbrook. The salaries match and Westbrook has made it clear he wants out of Houston.

Wall later reportedly indicated that he, too, wants to be traded. Wall hasn't played in more than a year after rupturing his Achilles tendon.

But Wall is staying right where he is, according to Sheppard.

"There are no plans to trade John. Obviously, it's unfortunate at this time of year," Sheppard said. "I was with John this morning. I watched him work out."
