In a feature for Fox & Friends Weekend, Will Cain sat down with an NYPD officer to discuss anti-police sentiment on officer morale.
The current NYPD officer wanted to be incognito, thus the disguised voice and shaded face.
“When I became a police officer, many years ago, I never thought I would have to put this uniform on and be looked at as the enemy. And to be hated,” the cop told Cain.
More troubling, the officer expressed concerns about the future of the essential profession:
“The term for NYPD that is going around is that the ‘job is dead.'” Adding, “you’d be crazy to take this job now in this day and age.”
In previewing more of the interview that will air this weekend, Cain said officers are quitting, retiring, and that this problem extends beyond New York City.
Alarming.
Very very sad to hear about walking away early, and the lowest morale ever.
Of course, that’s what the Left rads want to hear, so it’s fuel for their continued chaos.
I am very much in favor of defunding the police. But, you have to handle the human problems that lead to crime before doing so. Voices like Jason Whitlock and Larry Elder have some good ideas on where to start.
Anyone “in favor” of defunding the police is either extremely naive , extremely ignorant , extremely retarded , or extremely racist . That simple .
