Who Will Clinton and Trump Pick For Vice President?
As the Republican and Democratic presidential conventions loom closer and closer there are now two clear front runners to be picked as the Democratic and Republican vice presidential running mates.
Our buddies at OddsShark have the VP odds as well as the presidential odds. Hillary Clinton remains a huge favorite over Donald Trump.
And the vice presidential odds are pretty intriguing as well.
Hillary Clinton appears to be zeroing in on Virginia seantor Tim Kaine as her running mate. Virginia is, of course, a key presidential swing state that the Democrats would love to keep in their electoral column.
Here is the Democratic list according to OddsShark:
Tim Kaine +160
Elizabeth Warren +300
Julian Castro +500
Cory Booker +700
Sherrod Brown +750
Tom Perez +1000
Bernie Sanders +1200
Joe Biden +2500
Mark Warner +2500
Bill Clinton +10000
Meanwhile on the Republican side there is a prohibitive front runner as well.
Newt Gingrich +150
Joni Ernst +250
Chris Christie +750
Jeff Sessions +750
Bob Corker +750
Mike Pence +750
John Kasich +2500
Susanna Martinez +3300
Jan Brewer +3300
Sarah Palin +3300
Ben Carson +6600
Gingrich, unlike Kaine, doesn't bring a strong electoral college play, but he does fit Trump's stated desire for a vice president who has spent time in the political arena.
So will it be Clinton-Kaine and Trump-Gingrich or does either candidate have a surprise selection coming?
We'll find out very soon.
