Which Second-Year NFL Players Already Made CBS Sports' Top 100

The 2020 NFL Draft injected a lot of talent into the league. There were a lot of heavy contributors in Year 1, but according to CBS Sports, six rookies stood above the rest -- or at least were good enough to crack the top 100 players list.

Most of them are former Day 1 picks, but not all of them. One unlikely Day 3 name makes the list -- and that's the beauty of the NFL. Late-round gems also have the opportunity to make an impact on Sundays.

Here are those six players and where they rank amongst the top 100 players in the NFL:

100. L'Jarius Sneed, DB, Kansas City Chiefs

95. Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

82. Tristan Wirfs, OT, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

45. Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings

40. Chase Young, EDGE, Washington Football Team

38. Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers

The first rookie on the list is none other than Herbert, who was actually the third quarterback selected behind Burrow (95) and Tua Tagovailoa (NR). Young, the No. 1 overall pick, didn't slide into the top rookie spot, but being ranked second and in the top 40 proves he wasn't a bust in Year 1.

Sneed was the Day 3 pick who still managed to make the list. A fourth-round pick out of Louisiana Tech, the former safety moved back to cornerback and had an impactful first season with the Chiefs. He also missed some time with a broken collarbone, so it's even more impressive that he made the list.

Which Year 2 guys do you think will break out and make it onto this list next season? CeeDee Lamb, Jedrick Wills Jr. and Antoine Winfield Jr. would be some of my top choices. And what about the 2021 group? There are plenty of options to choose from with this new crop of rookies.
