Where Will Cam Newton Land In 2021?

Cam Newton's redemption tour fell on its face this year, giving his future in the NFL a big, fat question mark.

Most likely, Newton will be signing as a backup. So let's lay out his options.

Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars' Nick Foles experiment pooped out and threw former sensation Gardner Minshew back into the fire. Would anyone be surprised if Minshew was one of the 5-10 worst quarterbacks in the NFL next year? Probably not, and Cam Newton likely comes to that same conclusion.

The former MVP should be looking for a landing spot where the current quarterback may potentially stink up the field so bad that Newton is forced to play, and that could very well happen in Jacksonville.

Dallas Cowboys

Dallas looked good on offense last season before Dak Prescott's compound fracture in Week 5, and Prescott could probably now use a safety blanket in case he needs more recovery time.

That's where Cam Newton steps in.

Overall, a good-looking Dallas offense led by Cam Newton for two or three weeks could propel Superman to a new starting gig elsewhere. It's a long shot, but the rest of his career is a Hail Mary anyway.

Seattle Seahawks

It'd be refreshing to see Cam lace up the cleats for Pete Carroll and that infectious personality. The way things are going, the relationship between Russell Wilson and Carroll has a chance to get ugly and create an ugly divorce. Is it possible that Newton steps in to be the band-aid until Seattle finds its next young quarterback?

It's not likely, but Seattle does have DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett who could corral those inaccurate Newton deep balls.

Honorable mentions:

The Rams actually make a ton of sense, too. Cam gets to backup a wildly inconsistent Jared Goff all while showing off those hideous game-day fits in the L.A. market.

Match made in heaven.

Washington is another team that has been recently quarterbacked by Dwyane Haskins. Though the Alex Smith story is charming, they still need a consistent QB presence, which may make them desperate enough to sign Newton.

Wherever Cam goes--it's going to be a circus. We can't wait for the Bart Scott gif.
