Dwayne Haskins was spotted partying maskless at a strip club after playing poorly in the Washington Football Team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The quarterback has apologized for the matter, and the team has levied a relatively significant fine on him, according to Ian Rapoport:
Washington QB Dwayne Haskins was fined $40K by the team for COVID-19 violations after he attended a strip club without a mask, source said. A significant amount. This is the largest known fine for a player for a COVID violation – more than half of Haskins’ weekly paycheck.

This seems like a fair resolution to the matter. If he hasn’t already sealed his ultimate fate with the team, Haskins is certainly on his last strike now.
Alex Smith was unable to go last week due to a calf injury, and the team’s third-string QB Taylor Heinecke has one career start.
Based on what Washington coach Ron Rivera said to reporters today, it looks like Smith is progressing that but Haskins would be in line to start on Sunday against the Panthers if Smith cannot go:
Ron Rivera said Alex Smith (calf) "had a really good day today" at practice. They'll see how the QB feels at Thursday's practice. Everything with Smith more complicated with that right leg.

If Alex Smith (calf) cannot play, Dwayne Haskins will start at QB on Sunday against Carolina, per Ron Rivera.

Hopefully, if nothing else, this is a learning moment for Haskins.
