WFT Fines Dwayne Haskins Over Half of Weekly Paycheck for Strip Club Excursion

Dwayne Haskins was spotted partying maskless at a strip club after playing poorly in the Washington Football Team’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The quarterback has apologized for the matter, and the team has levied a relatively significant fine on him, according to Ian Rapoport:

This seems like a fair resolution to the matter. If he hasn’t already sealed his ultimate fate with the team, Haskins is certainly on his last strike now.

Alex Smith was unable to go last week due to a calf injury, and the team’s third-string QB Taylor Heinecke has one career start.

Based on what Washington coach Ron Rivera said to reporters today, it looks like Smith is progressing that but Haskins would be in line to start on Sunday against the Panthers if Smith cannot go:

Hopefully, if nothing else, this is a learning moment for Haskins.

  1. look at this from Haskins point of view. he is a budding Psychopath. psychopaths seek only gratification and do not appropriately learn from mistakes. they cannot. he cannot.

and he is being paid like a 1st round athlete, even though he is a true 2nd or 3rd rounder (maybe not that high).

from his perspective, he knows he has the Redskins over a barrel and he is being overpaid, so losing $40k from house money is ‘makin it rain’ for young dwayne. i have a 22 year old son that might act exactly the same way. butt my son is undrafted and unfocused in relative obscurity.

gets the Redskins playoff hopes are over …

  2. The disappointing part is that Rivera has preached about everyone buying in and the locker room being together. Well I guess when the playoffs are on the line Haskins gives the Skins a better chance than Taylor Heineke so exceptions must be made. Haskins already lost the locker room when he was bragging about a 300+ yard game when the team lost to the Ravens. How is this different? The Skins seem to have a pep in their step when Alex Smith is the QB, meanwhile when Haskins is in the game there is a noticeable difference in attitude.
