Week 4 Opening Lines

After suffering a humbling loss, Alabama opens Week 4 of the college football betting season as the biggest favorite on the board.

The Crimson Tide, losers to Ole Miss Saturday as 9-point home chalk, lay 39 points against UL-Monroe. Of course, this looks like an easy Bama victory but the same was said back in 2007 when the Warhawks upset the Tide 21-14 as 24-point underdogs.

No. 1 Ohio State opened as 31-point chalk to visiting Western Michigan.

Michigan State gives 27 points to Central Michigan and the Spartans have covered three in a row since 2014 when giving at least 27 points, according to the OddsShark.com college football odds database.

Notre Dame continues to climb the rankings, and the spread is already climbing for their matchup with UMass. The Irish opened at -27.5 at most sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. And Baylor gives Rice a 36-point head start in this one-sided Texas battle.

Stanford lays more than two touchdowns at Oregon State, a team they have owned recently with a 5-0 ATS streak since 2010. And oddsmakers give Ole Miss some new respect and a fat spread to cover a -26.5 at home to Vanderbilt.
