Herschel Walker is running for Senate in 2022 to challenge radical Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) in Georgia. Walker released his official announcement in a video clip on Wednesday:

Walker had teased this move for months, telling Maria Bartiromo in April he was seriously considering a run.
As I argued in June, Warnock is a vulnerable incumbent who won because Republican voters didn’t turn out as expected in the special election following the 2020 presidential election, an election that some GOP voters believe was fraught with fraud.
In a 50-50 Senate that’s considered up for grabs in 2022, Georgia’s race is key to power in DC.
For an early boost, Donald Trump is in Walker’s corner, telling Clay Travis and Buck Sexton he predicts Walker will take out his opponents.
“He’s a great guy, he’s a patriot, and he’s a very loyal person,” Trump said.
“They love him in Georgia. He was the greatest running back in the history of the state. He is one of the best in the history of the country. I think he’d win. I think it would be very, very hard to beat Herschel. Beating him would be very tough.”
I agree with Trump. Walker has a shot to make a dent in politics.
