WATCH: Auburn TE J.J. Pegues Destroys Ole Miss Defender

Videos by OutKick

The legend of Auburn tight end J.J. Pegues continues to grow with every passing week. After showing off his nimble, athletic ways despite being 300-pounds, the popularity surrounding the true freshman has reached a point of no return.

Not only is he willing to make game-changing plays with the ball in his hands, he is also willing to do the dirty work as a blocker. He loves using that offensive tackle size to bully around undersized defenders, and that is exactly what he did on Saturday against Ole Miss.

With the score tied at 21 in the third quarter, Pegues absolutely wrecked Ole Miss linebacker Daylen Gill, a transfer from Louisville. Check it out below.

Ouch.

Imagine crashing off the edge full steam ahead. Left completely unblocked and you’re convinced that a play is about to be made in the backfield. You’re right, but not in the way you thought. Instead, it’s a 300-pound tight end absolutely wrecking you out of nowhere.

Talk about a rough start to your Saturday. Come on, J.J. That man has a family and it’s homecoming.
