If there’s one player in the NFL who always seems to make fans chuckle, it’s bearded wonder quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
From wearing some rather outlandish outfits during press conferences to making miracle plays during games (check out the videos below), Fitzpatrick is always entertaining. This season, he will be the starting QB for the Washington Football Team in D.C.
Fitzpatrick also made headlines Tuesday during Washington’s OTAs, the third phase of workouts for the team thus far in 2021.
The quarterback infused a little humor in the practice session, creating a sign that allows him to introduce himself on the ‘first day of year 17.’

The Washington social media team had the players, including ‘FitzMagic,’ share the standard preschool introduction – year, teacher, height and friendships.
Fitzpatrick pointed out a couple players in his tweet – WR Terry McLaurin and fourth-year QB Taylor Heinicke, a player that Fitz will get to know very well in the 2021 season and beyond.
Heinicke stepped in late in the season. In four games, he threw one touchdown and had a QB rating of 102.3.
For now, Fitz is getting all the love, rightfully so, as he always seems to want to make others laugh, even if it means making fun of himself in the process.
That’s funny
I say this with in the most apolitical way possible: Ryan Fitzpatrick is the opposite of Colin Kaepernick. A guy who has been kicked around this league for his entire career, has highs, has lows, is a starter, rides the bench, wins, loses, gets replaced by rookies when on a winning streak, never makes the playoffs, and never gets the big paycheck. But still plays and his happy to do so, for whoever, whenever, in any capacity.
