Washington DE Montez Sweat Wants More Facts About Vaccinations

There are waves in Washington today over some vaccine comments made by WFT defensive end Montez Sweat.

Sweat said that he has yet to get COVID, and he'd like to keep it that way, staying as healthy as he can.

“I haven’t caught COVID yet, so I don’t see me treating COVID until I actually get COVID," Sweat said.

“I’m not a fan of it at all. ... I won’t get vaccinated until I get more facts.”

Sweat isn't at camp for Washington this week, something that head coach Ron Rivera commented about Tuesday.

"I know they've talked to their position coaches," Rivera said.

"The thing that we stress is that is voluntary. You'd love to have everybody here, especially because we've got 86 guys . It'd be nice to have everybody. But I get it.

"To get together, to work together, to develop, I think our guys have seen the importance and significance of this. I'm really grateful that they're here. I truly am. And I appreciate them being here."
