Washington Coach Ron Rivera: Everyone Should Get The Coronavirus Vaccine

No coach around the NFL has been more vocal about health care than Washington top man Ron Rivera. It's not been a surprise to see Rivera bringing up the current pandemic situation in his press conference, no matter the circumstances.

Rivera and Washington had a rookie minicamp over the weekend, and prior to Saturday’s practice, he once again spoke about the health care situation and the coronavirus vaccine.

The outspoken coach said he believes it's no different from vaccines for diseases such as polio, chickenpox and smallpox.

“You have got to get those to be safe going forward. Why would we avoid wanting to get the coronavirus vaccine? I hope people go out there and get these vaccinations so we can return to normal," Rivera said.

"It was cool today not having to worry about putting a mask on. I still put it on out of respect and caution for those who have to wear it.”

Rivera has been one of the most vocal coaches in the NFL when it comes to the corona vaccine. He feels that taking it is the right thing for people to do.
