Giants running back Saquon Barkley was carted off with an apparent knee injury sustained against the Bears:

David Chao, MD think there is bad news coming for the standout player:

“By video, Saquon Barkley appeared to tear his right ACL. He took an off-balance step with his right leg and his knee buckled. Barkley went to the ground holding the back of his knee. He was helped off the field and to the locker room. It appears he tore his ACL with an associated bone bruise and/or MCL sprain damage.”

The Giants announced that Barkley is out for the rest of the game and will undergo further evaluation on Monday.

  1. Ironically all of sports media was applauding how smooth last week went with games and few injuries and few penalties.

Most of the comments I heard from ex athletes is that last week was proof that no preseason is needed.

    Wrong. Very wrong.

Not only is it needed for injury prevention, it helps to highlight other players that may need to be signed during the season.

Catastrophic injuries happen, but this year Very few young players have seen any live action – next man up is gonna be tough this year.

Go Bucs (my team traded me to Tampa)
