The award, named for the longtime former NFL commissioner, honors TV and radio announcers.
Despite what Twitter may have you believe, Buck is a phenomenal play-by-play broadcaster for both football and baseball, and he’s quite deserving of this award. He may well still have a long road ahead of him too.
Here’s the full list of recipients of the award, which includes John Madden, Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, Pat Summerall, Al Michaels, Jim Nantz, and many more.
Great news in a year not filled with too much great news. Been a fan of his for years, and I look forward to hearing him for years to come.
Agreed
Great announcer for 25 years now (? wow).
Even though he hates my NY Yankees…he’s still the gold standard !!!
Wasn’t sarcasm…the ? was b/c I can’t hardly believe it’s been 25 years. Joe Buck is the best at what he does for sure…MLB and NFL !!!
