Video: Fan Tries To Get Five-Finger Discount On Rory McIlroy's Golf Club

Three different guys surrounded Rory McIlroy's golf bag during the Scottish Open on Friday. Three. One, two, three. All within a foot, and some random fan still had the cahoonas to try and give himself the five-finger discount on one of Rory's club.

Check out this video of the exchange, shared to Twitter by Duncan Carey:

The man even whiffed the first time through, only coming away with a wicked awesome dog headcover. If that were me, I'm calling that a massive win and bouncing. This guy? No, he wants a damn golf club, and he's going to get a damn golf club.

So he goes BACK. Seriously, this guy gives zero f--ks, and man, if I don't respect the hell out of him for it.

OK, he didn't actually want to "steal" the club. Just borrow it.

The fan goes out of frame of the camera for a few seconds. But when he's shown right before it cuts off, he's acting like he wants to just swing it. Or maybe the guy realizes it wasn't a smooth grab and bails on Plan A, I don't know.

Side note: where the hell is security?

Whether he was trying to steal it or swing it, I just know this guy deserves a medal, a lifetime pass for the "all you can eat" buffet pass at the local Golden Corral or something.

You ever think to yourself, "You know what? I think I'm going to do that" and then decide it's a terrible idea? Well, those stop signs do not exist in the mind of this absolute legend. All gas, no brakes. Forgiveness rather than permission.

What a motivating way to start a Friday.
