Video: DeVonta Smith Had a Ridiculous, Legendary Half

Videos by OutKick

There’s really nothing I can write to properly illustrate how ridiculous a half of football Alabama wide receiver and reigning Heisman winner DeVonta Smith just had. The whole country is sitting here looking at our TV screens and asking aloud why is Ohio State not covering him and by the time we finish the sentence he’s wide open again catching another ball for a touchdown. In one half of football, he has 12 catches for 215 yards and three touchdowns. I can’t remember a time I’ve seen anything like this, especially on the national championship stage.

At the half, Alabama leads 35-17 and this game is all but over. If you’re stuck at work or something or you’re a big Bama fan and want all these in one place, here are some of the highlights:

  1. That was shocking domination by Smith. It would have been a ridiculous performance over the entire length of a game, and this dude did it in a half…oh, against a secondary full of NFL talent. Hope he’s ok. Probably hurt his hand from catching too many passes.
