  1. Perfect example of the apparel theatrics that masks in sports are. You can’t HEAR someone if they have a mask on, so you’re required to remove it, which means you touch it, putting your germs all over your mask – which is the EXACT reason why the CDC in spring 2019 said that masks are ineffective against preventing spread of the flu. Given that fauxvid spreads similarly, it’s safe to say the same principle applies. But the low information masses are satisfied with face diapers all over their teams’ faces, and so here we are.
