Last year’s AL MVP Jose Abreu collided with Royals infielder Hunter Dozier just moments ago between home and first. You can hear the thud on video. It was that bad. Watch:

That’s the sound of a 6-foot-4, 220 pound Dozier going head on with 6-foot-3, 235 pound Jose Abreu. And considering the White Sox have won eight of their last ten ballgames — this sucks. Wouldn’t be surprised if both players missed some time with bruising at best.

Other than the obvious concussion checks we all expect, we’ll deliver any further updates we find.
