Vanderbilt Athletic Renderings Revealed On OutKick 360

Vanderbilt athletic facilities are getting a $300 million facelift, and OutKick’s Chad Withrow offered an idea of what they may look like.

Basically, it looks like 300 million reasons for Vanderbilt to feel good about what’s to come.

As you can see, the dough is going toward the football operations center, an expanded McGugin Center, an indoor football practice facility, the basketball operations center and the upgraded stadium for the sake of fan experience.

Vanderbilt desperately needed these upgrades if wants to compete in the SEC, and here we are. Looking good, Commodores.

  1. Now these white racists at Vanderbilt have to start dealing with the moniker “Commodores”, which reeks of their homophobic white nationalist yachting history. UN-ACCEPTABLE. This mascot is NOT inclusive.

  2. Vandy has had the ugliest football stadium of any major conference team for a long time now. It has not changed in over 40 years. It was behind the times in 1980 AFTER it was renovated. They should bulldoze the whole thing and start over. It’s like someone took those cheap steel high school football bleachers and bolted them all together to 40,000 seats. It’s embarrassing for an SEC school to have such an eyesore as a stadium.

  3. So the most successful men’s program at Vanderbilt doesn’t get a dime of that 300Mil? I understand that the baseball facilities are probably the best of all the men’s sports at Vandy and aren’t the most “in need”. Still, it just seems like a blatant “screw you” to the baseball team. Throw them a new dugout paint job or field logo, if for nothing more than looking like you appreciate them for actually succeeding.
