Tyreek Hill Weighs in on Moss Versus Rice Debate

Last week, Randy Moss gave the debate shows a topic to discuss in between all the NBA talk. Moss doesn’t agree with any list that says Jerry Rice is the G.O.A.T. According to Moss, he’s first. At best, Rice is third.

“I’ll put myself first, I’ll put T.O. second,” Moss said. “I would put Jerry (Rice) probably third or fourth.”

T.O. agrees. “When you think about Jerry and the quarterbacks he played with, he never had a drop-off in quarterback,” Owens said. “He went from one Hall of Fame quarterback to another.”

Tyreek Hill, a more relevant wide receiver, also agrees. He’s more of a Moss guy himself.

“Everybody knows I’m going to say Randy Moss,” Hill says to TMZ Sports. “Randy Moss was my favorite player growing up. Randy Moss is my favorite player of all time! Randy Moss, Randy Moss, Randy Moss!”

I disagree with all three. Without a doubt, Rice is No. 1.

Here’s the correct ranking:

  1. Jerry Rice
  2. Randy Moss
  3. Don Hutson
  4. T.O.
  5. Marvin Harrison

Debate that.

  1. Bobby, most won’t know details of Hutson, but from what I’ve read he was dominant during his period.
After Rice and Moss there are four I’d consider for the next three spots. Hutson, Larry Fitzgerald, T.O., and Lance Alworth.

    • I get tired of hearing that Randy Moss changed how defenses played. That’s bogus! Double teams and Zone defenses existed well before his career began. Only 1 player at the WR position changed. Bullet Bob Hayes. He and only he is the reason ‘double teams’ and ‘Zone’ defenses were invented. It’s a historical NFL fact. Look it up!
